This is the "news" ... not the Day 1 article. LMK please what you would like me to expand upon. i really had to cut this short as i raced for the Day 2 keynote.

And i have ONE HOUR to get up Day 2 Keynote NEWS.

It has interesting implications for FORUM behavior and it really explains what is going on at ATF VC&G (as well as our own forum)
:)

Cool.

People are saying that nVidia's cloud GPU stuff is going to make consoles obsolete.

That isn't what it is for.

Stop visiting that forum of collective ignorance; they are clueless about what Nvidia is doing. Completely clueless. And my next News article will deal with it. Dr. Couzins charts human and animal behavior and he can predict it as well as i can now.

What do you care what AMD fans think about Nvidia? These influential individuals have wrecked their forum and you will not get good information there.

i have to run to the next session.

i have to run to the next session.

I think what actually happened there was that nVidia's people ruined the forum, and then the pendulum swung back too far the other way.

Eventually we will have balance and equilibrium there.

I don't find it too bad honestly, but I have typically had an AMD bias so perhaps I fit right in. Birds of a feather flock together, you know. :)

Your video is interesting. It's great to see all the scientific uses for our GPU power.

Pre kepler launch AT VC&G was as bad as it gets but I agree sickbeast lately I find it very fair. That coming from some that favors nvidia

If you are following the threads, they simply do not get what is going on with Kepler

If AMD launched a new architecture, i would not go to GeForce or Nvidia's forums to get the low down on it.
- it makes no sense whatsoever.

If Ford launched a new vehicle, i would not go to a Chevy forum to get details.

If you want to know *exactly* what the GeForce GRID is for, watch Jensen's keynote
http://smooth-las-akam.istreamplanet.co ... layer.html

All you get at the other forum is spin and at least 90% of the posts are in error - even though it may seem reasonable. They don't quite get it and they carry a lot of negative baggage with them about Nvidia.

You would have to know the facts first hand. Then you would see that MOST of the posting at VC&G is in error about Kepler. The ONLY reason i am following it over there is to address the misinformation and popular misconceptions; mostly the posts over there have me shaking my head in disbelief.

i have a direct pipe to Nvidia. They don't.
:tease:

What do you do you want to know for a fact?

please elaborate on what you think the misconceptions are about Kepler that is being so misconstrued.

Cloud gaming for one. Nvidia's GeForce GRID. No one over there has a clue about it.
- there is a entire thread over there that suggests wrongly that it is "the end of consoles" - or even of PC high end gaming. It is certainly not that!

BtW, please read this; you might find it interesting.
(either link; it's the same info. And if you are interested, listen to the entire 1 hour keynote that is linked at the bottom:

"Live from the GTC – Day 2 Keynote – what swarming locusts, fish, birds, and forum posters share in common"

Look at this random sampling of BS. i found this in less than 3 minutes in just one thread. Russian Sensation is outstanding over there because he makes it a point to be *informed*. Most of the rest repeat nonsense.
. . . For example:

Quote:
"I also think their split of HPC/gaming into different architectures is a winning move"
"Ironically now NV is removing Compute which it's users touted, AMD is offering compute, which it's users didn't want, and both sides are still caught in a paradox..."
"Sounds like the GTX 480 of this generation"
"Hopefully GK110 comes in gamers only form." (well, duh)
"Is it still fair to call it a video card when the primary purpose is evidently no longer providing video output?"
"If GK104 has 4 GPCs, the BigK has 6 which results in 48 ROPs and a 384bit memory interface."

:-q

i could go on wasting time picking out posts at random for the next two hours. Why would you waste time on uninformed opinion of negative people who don't really care enough about Kepler to actually READ what has come out from the GTC or view the videos?

What do you think you will learn there?

Logic suggests that you first become informed and then head over there to teach and debate, if you like .. as i would have done in the past. Now i won't waste my time over there when we have an awesome forum over here that needs to grow. And of course, we DO welcome AMD fans and supporters for serious debate.
:hello:
