Lots of typos .. but i am off to the sessions and the keynote

Very nice.

I'm glad that the conference is going well for you.

Please try to find out about the GTX 660 before you're done. More Big Kepler details would be nice as well, particularly about the gaming variant.

It isn't that kind of conference. i already found out about the GTX 560 weeks ago ... it is on schedule and it is not going to be late like some suggest.

More BigK details will come from me tonight (just ask on the forum) and the GF110 Whitepaper is released tomorrow AM at 10:30AM

T10 is available this month and T20 is available in November-December timeframe. No pricing is announced
(expensive!)

Well, i just got back from the Nvidia party across the street from the Marriott. They put on a good show; they had world class jugglers. And i am so tired that i left the party early; it goes on for another hour.

i also made some good contacts. i met Scott of the Tech Report and we had a great discussion on MicroStutter. We mostly agree and my ideas are very similar to his regarding the high speed camera photos. i never read his review of Ivy Bridge and learned quite a bit tonight. He also knows about Stealth marketing; so i am certainly not alone in my 'foil hat' beliefs. He is smarter than i am, however, and never got his site into a situation like i did with ABT and AMD. He also invited ABT to send us our articles and the Tech Report will link to us.

i also made contact with PNY so we can look forward to another Nvidia partner; and they will have a consumer SSD line out pretty soon.

i have a Sapphire HD 7770 review due tomorrow AM - but there is no chance for that; maybe tomorrow night; and 3 articles on the GTC that i am probably going to make into ONE big wrap-up article. You can probably expect another news piece tomorrow. The GTC basically ends about 2PM tomorrow and i will head home. Lots to do and you should see a few articles go up all at once. IF i don't get sick
:)

Like I keep saying, just let other people fight the fight for you, just as you sacrificed yourself for Anand at his forum.

It's going to be hard for you to make ammends with AMD at this point.

May i speak frankly. i am not worried about AMD and ABT's relations at this point. Why worry about what cannot be changed? ABT did absolutely nothing wrong; we simply pointed out that AMD uses/allows stealth marketing as their modus operandi. My singular mistake was to engage them at ATF at all.

There will be a point where ABT will grow to the point where we cannot be ignored by them any longer. And they change their PR individuals every year. The guys who blacklist ABT will either (1) get promoted or (2) fired. We have been in this position before with AMD PR when we had to deal with Jay Marsden (he lied to us and broke all of his promises to us just as his successor has done). Yet 6 months later, we were back in their good graces for the 5000 and entire 6000 series launch.

It is going to be easy to make amends with AMD in the future at least from ABT's end. It's just not in the present; so i won't put my energy into even trying. Besides, the HD 78x0, the only HW that is even remotely interesting that we were "left out" of is Trinity. i don't care about the overclocked 79x0s; my card will match their OC for this year. Around December, i predict that the picture may change. And if it still doesn't change, their HW isn't that expensive to buy.

i don't care to keep rubbing AMD's nose in their stealth mess. It has already been exposed. Some of you have contacted the Consumerist. i don't care to do anything further personally and i have no "fight" with them. AMD makes great products; it's their PR and marketing that holds them back in every way. Either they fix it or it will break them. Again, it's not my issue. i just hope for the best for them as a company as i do not want to see them fail.

Well said.

I think that over time things will improve.

Good luck with the rest of your conference. I've enjoyed your coverage and your posts to the forum. :hello:

Thank-you. i am certain that things will get better. These kinds of things take time. And ABT is in for the long-term. Our vision is to build the best tech community anywhere.

Today is the longest day for me at the GTC - the sessions i am most interested in besides the keynotes. i got to go to a session hosted by IO Storage (they make a product that puts SSDs/flash drives to shame) and i will have a meeting with them privately at noon (they have oxygen as their draw; heck, it works - and i have it at home and never tried it before).

i also stopped by SeeReal technologies to check out their progress with S3D (and i have been following them for a long time). They are making amazing progress and have a new prototype.

Everything here is made possible by GPU computing, Nvidia has put together amazing technology and they are just now realizing their own vision. There is nothing at all wrong with "proprietary" - as long as their is amazing support for it.
-- the open movement is fine and can coexist with it. But clearly it needs leadership that it is not really getting yet.

Anything else you want to ask .. it is the last day here and the conference ends at 6PM.

Did i mention that i no longer need a charging station for my Genius mouse? i just realized that my OWN cell phone charger works for it perfectly
(damn am i tired .. i am on my 3rd cup of tea and 1/2 cup of coffee so far today; i am starting to use ginko biloba as a brain energizer)

Very nice coverage Poppin'!

It would be nice to meet you sometime. I'm at the short end of the stick when it comes to technical things. I know a lot, but I'm a shadow beneath my dad.
My Dad holds numerous patents as an inventor.

I just have yet to find something. I have everything and yet nothing!

I'll send you a link via PM of the patents he holds.
