I've been reading about these awesome $300 27" 1440p monitors that you can have shipped from Korea and I've decided I want one. I'm gonna upgrade to a bigger computer armoire and get another 7850 so I can drive it properly.

I might have to wait a bit but definitely I'm going to do this within the next 6-8 months.

Ebay. They're apparently panels that don't quite make the grade for Apple to sell as $1000+ displays. They are rated "A-". Most people seem to get them with no dead pixels and excellent image quality.

Why not get another GTX 570 for SLI? I've seen them for $230 lately.

Yeah you're right. Hmm. Driving 1440p would take a pretty serious card I would think, otherwise you're going to be sacrificing framerate for resolution.

Nah, I'm a pretty casual gamer. I think I could live with a single 7850 at 1440p for the time being. I would just turn the settings down some until I could go crossfire if they can ever get the drivers right.

i have used a single GTX 570 to play on 2560x1600 and it is not that serious of an issue (to me). Perhaps if you like tons of AA or mod Skyrim to the max.



Probably. Especially overclocked like yours is. Hopefully AMD will fix their drivers (soon). i hope Adam's experience at the other forum is not typical.
