Laptop CPUs?

Yes but that would be important if graphics was my interest I don't play games or watch movies on my Laptop I just do task usually multiple tasks Microsoft Office running, while surfing the net usually 15-20 tabs some streaming youtube while I'm reading articles or research etc..... Unless there is something about the APUs that AMD are capable of that I'm not aware of?

I've had a HP Probook 6465b for quite a while now, most of what I do is pretty much like you describe, I have plenty of tabs open, some streaming youtube, some on just normal sites, there's nothing preventing on AMD APU's from doing these tasks. Personally I went with an APU based laptop because as much as I don't usually use graphics on my laptop, it's nice having the option, I especially liked it when I was stuck on an airport for 10+ hours, and I was able to waste a few hours in games, GPU acceleration works well too, and obviously Intel recognizes the need for more power on the graphical side of things(See GMA graphics > HD2000, HD3000, HD4000, and what we expect from Haswell.

The other thing that APU's have is really nice battery times, and nice prices, so you can (Finally) Get cheap AMD based laptops that provide you with "good enough" CPU performance while not getting some less than 2 hour battery life.

In the market segment Piledriver is likely to occupy, the manufactures are just as likely to cut down on the battery size because of the CPU being more power efficient, leaving you no better off and them with extra profits.

So far PileDriver has turned out even more pathetic than I thought it would. Hvae they managed to improve CPU performance even 10% over bulldozer?

I ended up testing out the whole Tablet thing instead of getting the higher speced 11" i3 Laptop that I had my eyes on, I ordered a iPad 2, so I'll see how the Tablet life works out.
