Lvl 43 now. I was playing last night around midnight, and my connection was gone! All of cable was out. I stayed up till 2:30 and it was still out........ Went to bed It wouldn't have been so bad, but I was right at the end of one dungeon that I had been playing for at least an hour, because I kept dying. At least 10 deaths from a huge swarm of something. I actually could've finished as I found the exit early, but I wanted to finish one last set of monsters that were in the upper right hand corner of the map. The exit?.......... Bottom left corner!!!! Now I'll have to redo the whole board again. Sing it!!!...... Bang your head!........ Diablo 3 will drive you mad!!!!

So much for an "always on" connection Count me out for Diablo III Of course, not everyone agrees http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2 ... pean-dailyQuote: Blizzard's latest release, Diablo III, sold 3.5 million in the first 24 hours on sale, setting a new record for the fastest selling PC game, and boasted 6.3 million players after a single week.
Crucially those day one sales figures don't include those World Of Warcraft Annual Pass owners who got a copy for free. That bumps it up to 4.7 million gamers who had access to the game on the release day, May 15.
"We're definitely thrilled that so many people around the world were excited to pick up their copy of Diablo III and jump in the moment it went live," said CEO Mike Morhaime.
"We also regret that our preparations were not enough to ensure everyone had a seamless experience when they did so. I want to reaffirm our commitment to make sure the millions of Diablo III players out there have a great experience with the game moving forward, and I also want to thank them for their ongoing support."
A number of players struggled with login errors in the game's first week, turning "Error 37" into an internet meme.

No, I've not had one issue being online with their servers (other than a few hiccups), it was my cable company that was out for at least 3 hours...... Charter. It's been fine on Blizzard's end, and I have yet to be kicked out of a game. And I've played a lot.
You should look into it Poppin', let me give you a free limited pass so you can try it out?

Thanks for the offer. However, my own ISP is the suckiest of the suck ISPs that there is. - Wildblue is an exercise in frustration and i am still waiting to hear back from them about the upgrade. i'll give it another month and then i will move to Hughes.net.
i really don't have time to play a long grindfest. Max Payne 3 will be all that i will able to manage.

Is it because of connection issues? Your current provider I mean. They say that this game can run on DSL easily.

My Internet goes out regularly -- just for a few seconds at a time to longer. Can you imagine the havoc it would play with an always-on MMO that resets when the connection is dropped? And i just don't have time to play Diablo 3; i have 4 articles stacked up and i can't have distractions for at least a week.

I hate joining the public games! Everyone wants to just get to the end and not kill/explore everything on the map. Or, they run way ahead without thinking. ........ Uh this way I tell them! Look at your map Pilgrim! Too bad we can't make our own games, and set limits like D2. Even kick players out of your game, that was fun

The game rocks though What is this I hear about people getting hacked? I wonder how it's happening. I remember in D2 that people were always complaining of being hacked, but I played for 6-7 years and never even an attempt on my acct. Is it from bad passwords? Too few characters in their password? (I have the max, and have already memorized it) Bad security software? Sharing their account? Other?
