I trust apoppin's credibility and I believe that we do have AMD people on these forums just as we have people from nVidia and Intel.

I'm finding that there are certain members on here who tow AMD's company line to the point that I believe 100% that they work for them or are affiliated with them.

What I'm wondering is how the mods want us to address the matter?

I'm not saying it's a huge problem; I disagree with apoppin on that. I've found the Video forum to be quite good lately, along with the CPU forum.

That said, fair is fair and if nVidia's people disclose it then AMD's should as well IMO.

i wish you wouldn't do it over here neither. i thought we made it pretty clear, it does not matter who you "suspect"
--- these callouts are irritating and worse than a waste of time. We already know that stealth marketing exists and it is practiced by AMD employees who do not identify themselves.

That said, i would like to extend a warm welcome on behalf of ABT to AMD, Intel, and Nvidia employees to post here - openly. It would raise the level of discussion far beyond what any tech site forum experiences today.

I see it as more useful to directly call the members out as opposed to beating around the bush saying that there are marketing people out there but not naming names. You know we all named names when Rollo was around. If we didn't, we would have never gotten rid of him.

I don't see it as fair that you can write all these articles and create all these witch hunts and we can't call out the trolls for who they are.

The difference is, you can't prove it. And as much as it may appear to be so, there are dedicated fans that may be caught in the CrossFire of these kinds of witch hunts.

Our ABT investigation did prove that the situation exists. As a general warning, it is invaluable to ABT forum.

Honestly apoppin you called out AtenRa before I even did, perhaps in a more subtle way.

I will adhere to what you're asking, but honestly you do basically the same thing.

If what you mean is that i laid out AMD's Viral Playbook and warned our members what to look for, then you are correct.

And if you look at the *one* stealth poster that i called out by name - "nvidiacookies", aka "Blackened23", aka "xoleras", etc. - he outed himself when he tried to infiltrate ABT. We have seen other extreme examples of poly-posting the same AMD FX-8150/HD 6990 spam-thread (complete with corporate logo) on over more than a dozen tech sites just as the Viral Playbook recommended.

Again, i wish to extend ABT's invitation to AMD, Intel, and Nvidia employees to openly post here - to differentiate ourselves from the other tech sites. ABT is not hunting anyone.

I could be wrong, but I always thought AtenRa was Ailuros from B3D, and he is most definitely a nvidia supporter. Was once a focus group member too.

I will say that you did beat around the bush several times and AFAIK your dance did involve atenra at one point. You never directly accused her of anything but you did point out her thread that glorifies Bulldozer.
