I could be wrong, but I always thought AtenRa was Ailuros from B3D, and he is most definitely a nvidia supporter. Was once a focus group member too.

Maybe she jumped ship to AMD.

You never directly accused her of anything but you did point out her thread that glorifies Bulldozer.

And i believe that you are confusing AtenRa with my linking to Polyzip's thread at ATF CPU (Return of FX-8150 and HD 6990) as it appeared on more than a dozen web sites complete with AMD logo in the beginning of every thread.
(the thread that cherry picks benches from different systems and attempts to glorify Bulldozer; it was locked a couple of times)

Her?

From that blog:
Quote:
Conclusion

One word, if you are a gamer on a budget spend more money for a better graphics card than a CPU. Even in lower resolutions, today’s DX-11 games at higher image quality really need a high performance GPU. Higher image quality settings can transform a game in to magic. Most of the times that will be doable with a higher performance graphics card.

AMD’s FX4100 and Intel’s Core i3 2100 are both adequate for a budget gaming system. We strongly believe that final purchase decision between those two CPUs will not be about the performance. Something else like lower power consumption, upgradability or even a platform feature will be the deciding factor.

I think AtenRa sees the FX processors much the same way as apoppin does, really, just likes running a blog with a focus on AMD, and there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Can anyone show me where he/she is coming into threads trying to persuade people who have decided on intel to purchase bulldozer instead?

There are 5 threads all attempting to "sell" Bulldozer

Polyzip is totally different than AtenRa
:hello:

Actually, i have a pretty similar view of Bulldozer to AtenRa. That it is not failed. That it has potential. It was brought out too early just as HD 7970 was - but AMD had no real good alternatives. And they made money compared to not bringing anything out.

Take me to your leader, AMD trolls!! :yahoo:

Sorry about that; I had them mixed up.

BUT: You *did* call them out.

i called out a GROUP. i called out AMD for allowing their employees to post without disclosing their employment as AMD requires.

A couple of posters that were ridiculously obvious outed themselves in the process and i am sorry for that. i never intended to name names.

i never even named Rollo; if you look at my entire history at VC&G .. he outed himself
(after it again became ridiculous obvious; that was my function and now, to point out the ridiculous obviousness of the stealth marketers).

You called out a GROUP *and* you called out Polyzip.

Regardless, it's not a big deal. I will try to refrain from calling people out on here just as I will try to refrain from moderating gstanford.

--->Just kidding about the moderation bit! :D

They could have brought out BullDozer 1, 2, or even 3 years later than they chose to and it would still be total crap. Early is only part of the problem. Early and ***IMMATURE***.

As for Southern Islands, they chose to focus all their GPU's on Double Precision throughput right at the point that nvidia decided to bifurcate the professional and consumer market, giving consumers plenty of Single Precision and professionals plenty of Double Precision.

Well, to be fair, Nvidia only gave GK104 token DP support. They built it on GF104 which had DP mostly stripped out.

As they say, fortune favors the brave
