I recently upgraded my video cards from 2 2gb GTX 460's in SLI to 2 2gb GTX 670's in SLI.

Image

I performed some benchmarks using the new 301.42 drivers and (mostly) default profile settings for each game. The only changes in the profiles besides what is pictured below in non-greyed text was to enable FXAA in a title or enable AA/AF where you could not set it natively in the title. Nvidia Inspector was used to do any profile modifications required.

There are some minimum frame rate issues in these benchmarks, specifically with Metro 2033 (460 & 670), Farcry 2 (670) and Crysis 2 (460 & 670) where minimums are being reported as lower than they actually are by the benchmark, so bear this in mind.

A closer look at some results. 3Dmark03, 3DMark vantage, STALKER Clear Sky and STALKER Call of Pripyat.

These are interesting because of the game test and theoretical test results, and in the case of the STALKERS, different rendering scenarios (god-rays etc).

It is extremely easy to tell GK104's heritage from my benchmarking. It's almost exactly twice as fast as GF104, sadly nvidia tried their best to make it nearly twice as expensive too.

Why did Crysis not improve at 1600p with the 670s?

Aside from that the new cards look twice as fast. Very nice.

Chart and excel sheet fixed, re-download the sheet if you grabbed it.

About Crysis, it does improve at 1600P, it helps if you put the correct data into the spreadsheet!

I want to know what that bottleneck is keeping it at 40.6FPS. I would be pissed if my average FPS stayed the same in Crysis. Maybe you're CPU limited?

I'm not sure yet. It could be anything, edit: it was user error.
