i doubt you *really* understand what dave is *really* saying
- you never really quite got what i was saying for 7 years of our debates

.. and i am *the* MOST positive human alive today .. there IS hope .. although very slim for the Human race
- why the HECK *else* would we start-up ABT ?
.. we began this very last Summer; we knew what was going to happen before Last May

it is all timing .. and there is a much bigger picture to consider

we *anticipated* this depression .. as well as its "cure"

Sorry i speak the king's English, not emoticon......

As far as "anticipating" the economy was slumping last summer, that shouldn't have been too hard as we were well into the recession last summer. That's like predicting you'll get a check at the end of dinner at a restaurant.

as i said

1) You speak NOTHING like "King's English"

and

2) You have an awful time comprehending what i am saying to you as you are seemingly looking for even more hidden meanings according to your preconceived image of me.

.. As to "anticipating" .. John McCain sure had no clue did he? He lost the election for being wrong about the economy DEEP into the recession = bad judgment for a leader
- nor any of the Bush Administration - but they are all stupid

nor any of the bankers .. nor the stockbrokers

they ALL said the economy was "basically Sound" .. Dave and i were naysayers .. we predicted the depression and prepared our vehicle for others to join us also in a timely fashion

- and i started work on ABT - i laid the foundation for it with Dave - in Spring, 08 - nearly a year ago

-Summer starts in Late June; the plan was always to launch ABT October 1; a new year's beginning in some cultures
- we knowingly launched a business at the traditional "worst time" .. deliberately
=D>

A business that hasn't earned a thin dime in two quarters. Perhaps that wasn't such a good idea!

and yet you are here ... something brings you and others to ABT - even to its forums .. even though we have not yet even begun to promo ourselves
=D>

.. and certainly you have to realize that i planned to go a lot longer without making a profit :P
- it was also a "zero dollar" investment for us as a group .. none of us invested a penny into ABT - we shared and used the resources that we had already

- imo a radio station should startup without any commercial interruptions and the listening audience should get to know the real crew behind the music and commentary
- and yet a brand new radio station attempting to break into an mid-sized market can expend 1-2 million dollars during this start-up period *before* they get any RoI

Best of all it appears to be working, for us .. ABT has moved up another 100,000 rankings - since last week - on Alexa's ranking; April 1, we will be officially 6 months old.

So what will you consider "success" at the end of year one? (hopefully not my presence, I'll chat wherever the conversation interests me and the mods aren't sleazy little weasels with a strange attraction to the admin's leg and oddly stained noses that remind me of diapers like ViRGe and BFG10K! )

What are you hoping for cracking the top 250000? Earning $100?

Can a "business" be considered a "business" if no money has ever changed hands?

You are MOST NEGATIVE

Now go learn manners and PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH
..

You are telling Dave he is negative

You are FAR worse than that .. it is as though you were wishing bad on us .. like Rush does with America to get at Obama :P
- you should bring Wreckage here and we can have the start of a cheerleading team from hell

It might be useful for your next life

Dave's posts aren't like yours: littered with innuendo, vague allusions, and emoticons.

He pretty concisely details the facts that support his nay saying.

In other words, he's credible.

Credible sources telling people to be afraid further erode consumer confidence and that is exectly the opposite of what the economy needs right now. People need reason to hope, not commit suicide because they are afraid. Most of us whose fiscal picture hasn't changed need to spend money as we always have, not hoard money because "all looks grim". Businesses need to invest in R&D and diversify to areas we can compete in, not freeze spending.

It's very simple and you are lightly touching on it. I know it must be hard for people like you to admit I was right for so many years.

Either the U.S. returns to making things here or it dies. Plain and simple.

I agree with this. We can't compete with labor costs in the second and third world, and I rather buy my neighbor's expensive towels and cars than pay him to lean on a shovel.

Why would I have a hard time admitting that? I've been saying it for years. (and I didn't know you then!)

Clearly *everybody else* has a hard time admitting that. i was not so sure what you believed.

That is the only reason Dave got tossed out of that other forum - they are afraid of him. He was banned on a whim; exactly like you got unfairly treated. THESE are the people we do not like - the hypocritical ones who insist you think and act according to their narrow and small-minded views. Very narrow - like Rush.
- and also these same type of people completely got ahold of the politics and business of America and started to dismantle US. They sent our jobs overseas and poo-poohed anyone who saw the certain disaster of their foolish greed. The lifted restrictions on all kinds of trading ... they *caused* the real estate crisis !! These are the people i will never trust in the future. They are proven to be greedy mis managers

The US is still a world leader. It is the greatest experiment in political freedom - ever ! .. in the history of mankind; we made more progress than ANY other major power
- we freed our slaves in 1865 and fought a war with these same narrow minded asses. Even so, it took 'till now - but America has done something rare .. and special with our choice of President.

i love it and i want to preserve and expand on it. If we do not export "goods", then we must lead elsewhere -in technology, ideas, alternatives for a tomorrow. We must encourage really free trade with our neighbors; not protectionism "Made in America" needs to be a greatly desired name all over the world. I firmly believe America needs to return to this place of leadership - without interfering with other nations as we did in Iraq as though we have some silly "divine right" to do so.
