Why My Next CPU Will Be AMD - SteelCrysis - 02-03-2016

I cannot believe this.

I got subscribed to Intel's Chip Shot newsletter without my knowledge. That wasn't a big deal, though I sure didn't want it. So I decided to unsubscribe using the handy unsubscribe link provided. Once opened, I entered my email address and clicked Unsubscribe. Nothing happened. Sure enough, I kept getting this newsletter.

So I headed over to Intel's privacy notice (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/privacy/intel-privacy-notice.html) and used the privacy contact form to request my removal. You would think that using the privacy complaint form and designating it as a Privacy Complaint would actually get me somewhere. Nope.

I got some piece of shit named Fred who passed the buck to Intel's Press Relations, who do not handle privacy. I followed the link he provided, realized I had been buck passed, and wrote back to tell him to not pass the buck. I'm still getting spammed by Chip Shot.

I file a separate privacy complaint through the same privacy contact form. I get the exact same cocksucker telling me that I'm somehow contacting Intel's graphics technical support, and passing the buck again to Intel's press relations. Does the privacy contact form look like technical support to you? https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/forms/privacy-contact-us.html

It's crystal clear that Intel is determined to act in bad faith and make unsubscribing from their marketing as difficult as possible. Fuck you, Intel. You've lost my business for good.

Getting emails is enough reason for you to join the few, the ashamed, the AMD CPU Owners?

Maybe if intel said "Hahaha...we have no competition, our cheapest decent CPU will be $499!! You'll pay it an like it!". Not for emails though.

It is winter though, so it's a good time to switch!

That's not the issue. Re-read my post.

Yeah, I get it, but isn't switching to AMD CPUs a little like wearing Crocs running because some Nike service rep did a bad job?

Given that I haven't gotten any of that spam since, I'll get over my anger at Intel.

I think you should get that 5ghz FX thing that is slower than a 2500k.

Intel's back to spamming me. Finger

My dad once went to the Chevy dealer to buy a pickup truck. The salesmen on the floor ignored him because it was the weekend and he was wearing faded jeans, a tshirt, and a denim jacket. This frustrated him, so he went across town to the GM dealer, bought a truck with cash, and entered an arrangement to use that dealer for the company he was GM of at the time's company cars and trucks.

Dad told me with businesses you show your satisfaction, and dissatisfaction, with your wallet.

You must channel my dad and set up an AMD space heater rig, give the spammers the Finger3

I'm moving closer to that, after getting this form letter response from someone who obviously didn't read my complaints on here, which I linked to in my complaint:
Quote:Thank you for contacting Intel. Intel is committed to protecting your Privacy.  It is not our policy to send unsolicited emails and we take all reasonable steps to respond to unsubscribe requests.  In order to process your request more quickly, can  you help provide the Intel website where you subscribed?
