Why are they doing this?

My Gigabyte motherboard only has 4 power phases for the CPU and it's marketed as a gaming and overclocking board. It has 4 high quality fully digital phases though. My board scored better overclocking results than other boards with 8 or even 12 phases. So the number of power phases is not everything. I think instead of looking at the motherboard superficially, Tom's should review the board and see how well it overclocks. While I do see their point, I don't think the criticism is fair at this point without fully testing the board first.
