Too little, too late. 4K is taking off, the argument has already been made in Forbes that the 8th gen consoles are out of date for not supporting 4K gameplay, and the only Steam machine they have that can do 4K at lowered settings is too expensive for the console market. The model with the equivalent of the PS4's GPU is at least $150 more than the PS4. 8th gen consoles have had price cuts. Note that they won't give away the specs of their cheapest Steam Machine.
