AMD Securities Fraud Suit Proceeding - SteelCrysis - 04-02-2015 http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/04/01/us-usa-adv-micro-dev-lawsuit-idUSKBN0MS58E20150401 Case is Babak Hatamian et al Advanced Micro Devices Inc et al, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, No 14-226. Quote:In an order on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzales Rogers said plaintiffs have supported their claims that Advanced Micro officials misled them by stating in the spring of 2011 that problems with the new processor were in the past. RE: AMD Securities Fraud Suit Proceeding - RolloTheGreat - 04-02-2015 It could be said I'm not a fan of AMD, this looks like a waste of everyone's time to me. A chip was late, the market for it fell? Gee that never happens in the computer market. And hey, this year's Balldozer looks like it "may" get a little closer to the Sandy Bridge level of performace we've all had for the last four years. If they get to THAT level of performance without liquid nitrogen cooling, what's next? A gamer actually buys an AMD part?! Dare I dream of this brave new world? RE: AMD Securities Fraud Suit Proceeding - SteelCrysis - 04-03-2015 The issue is that AMD lied about production issues that still existed. That case has been deemed worthy of trial. |
