Check out the 4K benches, the FTW edition barely better than FE.
We'll see what is available at end of my Step Up period, maybe I will get the ACX edition 1080.

Tweaktown suspects that EVGA is saving the best overclocking for the Classified version:

Quote:The ACX 3.0 cooler didn't make any noise during my hours upon hours of gaming and benchmark punishment, which is another tick in EVGA's box. After seeing the huge coolers on ZOTAC and GIGABYTE's new GeForce GTX 1080s (reviews on those to follow this one), I thought EVGA's card wouldn't perform or overclock as well, but I was wrong. It overclocked without a problem, and while it didn't hit the heights I thought it would, I think EVGA are saving those heights for the Classified card.

FTWs are just binned, not overbuilt like Classifieds and Kingpins.

EVGA begs to differ:

Hmmm, your post surprised me enough that I went and looked at some EVGA product lines and apparently "FTW" models are all over the board in their level of components.
The last parts I looked at were a 980 Ti Kingpin I considered and the Classified I bought.
(the 980 ti FTW definitely not as built as those two)
