I just decided to drop by the ATF video forum after a *long* absence, and this was one of the first things I saw:

I don't know if I have made it clear to all, I know I have made it clear to some of the serial reported post abusers in PMs to them. VC&G accounts for over 60% OF ALL reported posts .
That's one subforum out of 36. Let me repeat that. One subforum, (3%) out of the other 35 subforums (97%) is reporting +60 of ALL the reported posts.
You clearly have have not taken my announcement to heart, that has been up since the first of May. I renewed it in June and progress was not being made to the announcement was extended. We have and still continue to remove members from VC&G who are creating a hostile posting forum here. More of you have been removed today. You will be getting PMs from me regarding what you need to do to be reinstated.
Do not report a post because it conflicts with the company you support. Do not waste our time. Now if you are a member who is posting just to shake up this forum, you will be removed.
If you are not posting to the topic and are just here to troll, you will be infracted and removed.
Do not call people who disagree with you, shills. Do not call ANYONE a shill.
If a member does so, it will be grounds for removal from VC&G for 30 days.
I am not sure how to make this anymore clear. I am picking this thread to sticky so the members will read my edit.

Unbelievable! It looks like the place has gone completely haywire. And you basically get *banned* if you call anyone a shill! So they are allowed to shill but you're not allowed to point it out. Nice. They will reap what they sow.

AT is one of the "last men standing" in the world of the past, it is what Apoppin has been trying to do to 10 years.
He never will though because the tech forum world is AT, H, TPU etc.. Long gone the days you can start a new review site and hope to succeed. The market is dead, and ghosts like us are mainly concentrated in the last big ones. Gives us a sense we're not strange for doing this, gives the illusion of the old days.

Why stir this thread in that direction? I predict a bunch of back and forth, repetitive no win arguments.

What I found interesting about that thread was that Keysplayr actually agreed with the AT mods and said that the entire thread was flame bait and should not have been started. So he is either a "yes man" for the ATF mods, or else, actually, I can't think of another explanation. His response makes absolutely no sense to me. It seems fair to question the RX480's 150w TDP if it only uses that much power when the compatibility mode is enabled (it is turned off by default). That thread seemed like fair game to me. The only ones having any issue with it were the shills. But wait! We can't call them shills! ATF is just going to allow the shills to continue posting unfettered. But we can't say anything about it! We can't even say the word "shill".

How about some constructive dialogue, Rollo? Does that scare you? Can your level of intellect handle that? You're always going on and on about how well educated you are. How about starting to show us that. Because what you just said reminded me of something I might hear from a teenager, not a full blown adult. Perhaps you are an educated idiot. Those do exist.

The OPs life mission these days (promote BTR-disparage all other tech sites) is the "why".
ATF is big business, financially supported by tech OEMs as a marketing vehicle.
Can't have the marketing audience pointing out the marketing, loses its effectiveness. How many people would want to join a forum where half the posters are company sponsored marketeers? Not many.
