Yeah they have these sales in Canada as well, it's a really great deal. It's TLC nand but at this price it doesn't matter. Plus there is the fact that even TLC nand will last over 50 years under normal usage. In fact I think I even read you could write 20GB per day for 50 years and it would still survive.

I guess we still need to be careful with all of those negative customer reviews on Newegg, Amazon, etc.. If only 1 out of 10 people bother to post a review online, then perhaps this means that 1 out of 50 drives are defective if all of the purchasers of defective drives post a negative review online (or 1 out or 25, if only 1 out of 2 purchasers of defective drives actually bother to post a review) - it's just a rough shot-in-the-barrel estimate.
