3-Way SLI Must Be On The Way Out
#1
I really don't think Nvidia intends to support 3-way SLI anymore:

3 way SLI is supported only for benchmarking applications like 3dmark etc, not for games.

It was never good, not enough benefit from 3rd gpu

I know that. Seeing it in person is a whole another experience.

That is true.  I did investigate it a couple of times over the years, could not see any compelling reason why I should go past standard two-way SLI.

I had some 3 and 4 way SLi rigs and in general they did have amazing performance and I cranked up the AA.

However; the cost/benefit ratio was never good, and I'm guessing 99% of the market didn't care.

First gen quad SLi the mouse felt pretty vague.
