SYSMark's focus on the CPU is so "excessive" that it's really only evaluating the processor, not the system as a whole. In comparison, PCMark 8 probes not only the CPU, but graphics and subsystems as well. In an attempt to drive the point home, AMD ran a set of custom scripts it developed based on Microsoft Office and timed how long it took each system to complete them. The Intel system took 61 seconds to finish the benchmark versus 64 seconds for the AMD platform, a difference of about 6-7 percent and in line with what PCMark 8 indicated, though Sysmark shows a stark delta of 50 percent in favor of Intel with comparable CPUs.

They've made a video about it. Of course, this is the company whose graphics division bribed Valve to sabotage Nvidia graphics card performance in Half-Life 2.

Oh yeah, just noticed this comment:

being a die hard amd fan im saying this.. the way amd is presetting it is just a marketing.. the real fact is what amd is saying is truth but a partial truth.. what sysmark is doing is showing the real performance of the CPU not the overall pc performance. amd cpus are not bad but way behind from intel's performance right now. but when you are using it for word or excel or browsing the internet its the same you wont feel any difference. and if u r playing games and u dont have money to buy a gpu it will be better to get a amd apu ( but i think ps4 will be a better choice then ). so no mater how u try amd come up with a better performing cpu.. a looser is a looser always no mater what u say and how big or small the gap is.. bring out the zen core defeat intel's top cpu with a 10% gap.. like the old days of athlon fx 51 and so on...
