- Of the 9 that could generate a positive cash flow, 7 are not expected to even break even within their lifetimes, with the worst offender expected to take 1,253 years just to break even
- Municipal broadband supporters respond with a red herring about comparisons to the private sector and whining about supposed "success stories" that weren't included in the study
