Look at this. He justifies spending USD 120 on a Corsair 450D "because the cheaper cases can often have sharp edges and can be very difficult to work inside of". Only if you're buying sub-$30 trash cases. Then he justifies going with a trash CX750M because by getting a PSU from the same manufacturer as the case, you guarantee compatibility. Or you could just read the PSU clearance in its tech specs, then check the length of the PSU in its tech specs. He also thinks getting a 15-piece Rosewill tool kit is a good idea.
