A few years back, my son had a friend over and we offered him an apple, he handed it back and said,"that's not an apple!"
Confused, I started questioning. Quickly a learned that he was expecting a plastic package with Apple spears that a kid gets in a happy meal. This kid was in his second year of preschool at the time while my son moved on to kindergarten. But honestly, the kid was serious. He had no idea what to do with a real and natural apple.
As bad as that was, the next event I remember just totally blows my mind. It was some time later when the kid was staying with us for 3days. We set down for dinner and once again this kid was dumbfounded. He was like, what is that, i don't know what it is, get it off my plate. It was carrots! He was afraid of them.
So, my wife decides to remedy the situation by whipping out some green beans. The same reaction from this kid! This is not a joke, peas, carrots, green beans, broccoli....he had never eaten these things. He was 6ys old at this time.
The next time I saw this kid, which was 4 or 5 months ago, it was obvious that he was spreading out towards obesity. If he wouldn't already have been considered obese. He was significantly wider than my son who is about the same age (my son is 1 month younger). Months had went by, almost a year, since I last seen him. And a yr ago, he was chunkier than my kid (which is completely thin, flat and slender) but wouldn't have been considered fat. Just plump, not unhealthily looking.
A lot has changed in his appearance in the last year. He spread out and no one would deny it, he is fat. He looks unhealthy, tired and even dark spots under his eyes......before he even turned 8 yr old.

You know my big health food kick has been smoothies. I make them every day for my kids and I. I will share my kids' favorite recipe:
2 bananas
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup frozen pineapple
3 cups of water
1/2 scoop of vanilla flavored protein powder
2 tablespoons of flax seed
fill the rest of the blender with ice (I usually use a whole tray of ice)
It's delicious! Since I started doing this none of us has been sick. I have other recipes with strawberries and blueberries. Sometimes I put oatmeal in as well.

So now it appears that gstanford has left ABT, largely because of Rollo. What do you think guys? Is Rollo good for the community here?

It's kind of hard to ignore someone when they are constantly quoting you and trolling you. Rollo has been creating threads to annoy gstanford as well. If we just ignore him he's going to run amok trolling some of us. Ignoring him is basically just allowing him to slander us unfettered.

Because Dave made you a mod here, while Rollo isn't. I don't think he liked this (since you already expressed intolerant criticism towards him a great number of times). Plus without Gstanford to fuel the console argument, what else does Rollo have to argue about? Politics?

Console, yeah, for me it is - XBone and PS4 are so lackluster. They're nowhere nearly as impressive as the last-gen consoles were, and most games still do not render natively at 1080p, a baseline standard for many years now.
Skylake is more lackluster than both Haswell and Broadwell were at the time of launch. Hopefully AMD's Zen will be as fast as Haswell (which is like 40% faster than Piledriver) - and that would still not be exciting.
I just need to talk to Jensen of Nvidia, about making the whole "PC/Console/Video/Gaming" much more exciting for all of us.
