TechReport was founded by Scott Wasson, now a current AMD employee. My guess the "reader who tipped them off" is either Scott or an Advocate.

50W more? OK, so for every 24/7 day (assuming you run your PC 24/7, I do not) that would be 1.2 KWh per day.

Wow, 12 cents per KWh, so that works out to 14 cents a day, 98 cents a week, 52 dollars a year.

Personally it's my opinion that if you actually have to keep track of 98 cents a week, it time to call it quits.

I bet HOMELESS PEOPLE are pretty loose with 98 cents a week, but here is the Tech Report, trying to tell us it's a big deal.
