As I've told 1000s over the years, my point of view is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is accuracy of the information I post.

Would you rather have facts from the devil or lies from a saint?

I can think of no reality where doubling the minimum wage leaves the same amount of jobs, the money with the same buying power,  unless the owners of all the companies were willing to live with lower profits. (and all the people above the minimum wage are willing to make less of a difference from unskilled work than they used to)

As half the jobs in this country are small businesses where the owners would have to be willing to own the company for little or no profit, and even many of the larger companies operate on very slim margins and require those for operating capital, this cannot happen.

In Australia where they have a slightly higher than $15 minimum wage, everything costs more than here so the money they earn buys less:

So, it's not just my "biased theories", in an actual economy where they have the high minimum wage in play the inflation I note appears to be in play.

It's nice to yell about, "They should pay us all more money!" but if "they" did, the money wouldn't be worth as much and the jobs wouldn't be as plentiful.

The system is set up so everyone can survive if they work, and those who work more or learn in demand skills are rewarded with better living and working conditions.

I wish there was some way everyone could make more and the money retain the same purchasing power, but I don't see how it's possible and have not been shown this to date.

Doesn't mean I'm biased or right wing, just means I understand small business, supply and demand, and human nature. There's a big difference.
