Like I said, pinching pennies and wanted to live closer to my brother. Wasn't a gunshot neighborhood, but I saw some folk in the parking lot I wasn't comfortable walking by with my then toddler. She moved out soon after because she found out she wasn't thrilled with it either, and has lived in places I don't mind visiting since.
Son: Part of his quest for vintage to mix with the rest. He also orders costly shoes every other week, custom clothes from artists, and doesn't think twice about spending $50 on a tshirt from the 80s. He's looking for a more unique look than the suburban mall kid look.
My point with those comments is I'm an old suburbanite, about as dangerous as Wonderbread. (a bland, mass produced white bread if you guys don't have it) I'm about as boring (and dangerous) as Mr. Rogers.
