You need to post something positive about AMD GPUs to get the latest brick-o-saurus from the mothership. The relative longevity of the 7970 vs 680 is one of the few bright spots they can point at.
What else? "If you want to do some mining, AMD will get you more hash marks"?
"Fury X had a stock AIO water cooler"?
"Beware Een-vee-dee-Ya, they cheated you out of 1/2 a GB of VRAM on teh 670!!"
About the only legit claim they have in the gaming is the Vega offers 1080 level performance and you can get FreeSync monitors $200 cheaper than Gsync, but Vegas cost $200 more than 1080s, and have far worse power/heat/cooling solutions/noise, so that's pretty easy to counter.
Not much to say if you're an AMD fan, paid or otherwise.
And therein lies the problem for the forums: In the absence of competing choices to discuss "Gosh the new intel/NVIDIA product is good" is about all there is to say.
And there's not much point of saying that, or bragging about the card you bought. Everyone at your price point bought the same one.
