So basically they are scared that AMD will be selling counter parts with a higher flop rating.

They are scared of AMDs ninjas, NVIDIA has no 40 foot tall pirate skeleton to protect them.

I think we've reached the point it probably doesn't matter what AMD does, the brand has lost favor due to various factors.
