If he used that math on his wages:

Instead of using real world math, shrugging, and saying,"No big deal, that's pretty close.".
Note: Numbers in example meant only to represent Joe earning 10% more than GStan, not be a precise ratio mirroring the XBone/PS4 numbers.
As noted, in the population of Xbone and PS4 sales, Xbone has 47.5% of the whole and PS4 52.5% of the whole. It's NOT a big difference, in the USA anyway.
