How much gain in performance from your old card to your new?
Was you planning on a 1070 or 1080?
I tried to buy a 1080, pre-ordered a Gigabyte Gaming 1 on Amazon for $611.. Then I waited 11 days, called them, they said it would ship when they "got some in at that price". Checking their site I saw them selling them for over $800 through their vendors, and I seemed to recall them doing this to me before, so I cancelled.
No clue in gain from reference, I don't benchmark anything these days.
The reviews I saw show a 15% gain over reference on this card, and others at 1190 base clock, no reason to think I wouldn't see similar.
I wouldn't have ordered a 1080 if I had this 980 Ti to start with, not enough of an increase to justify the expenditure. (as it is I actually came out ahead- sold my reference card for $520 a month ago and my AMIR cost on the Classified came out to $389.. )Not bad for a card that beats the 1070.
Also, I promised my son I'd get him the new Titan or 1080 Ti and the six pin 1080 while good, is not that.
