That's awesome, Rollo! I got my TV today as well. 
Except I spent 1/6 as much as you on something super low end. I'm just not willing to pony up for 4k right now.
The RCA TV is pretty nice actually! It's very basic and definitely nothing fancy but web browsing and the 4k demos on YouTube really look wonderful on it. I am still tweaking the color but it's pretty good. The uniformity is excellent, much better than my old TV, which I am happy with.
For $478CAD including tax I can't go wrong with this TV.
I ordered a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 adapter as well so I can have full 60hz at 4k with my 280x.
What size TV did you get, Rollo?
If you could share about your gaming experience with a GTX 980 Ti at 4k resolution I would appreciate it. I hear it's decent but it would be nice to hear it from you as well.
