1080p content looks excellent on my TV, slightly sharper than it was on my 1080p TV. So the upscaling does seem to have a bit of an effect. I notice it more when there is text on the screen. I haven't tried any 720p content yet. My cable feed is 1080i; I don't really have access to any 720p content. I guess I could try a YouTube video.
