Advocates thwarted
#1
https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/wit...s.2483002/

The thread is about how moar corez (or at least threads) can be good in some levels of Witcher III.

Aten Ra, old time Advocate jumps in to pipe up,"Jinkies guys, if you OC an 8320 it will be better than some of the cheap i5s!" (while conveniently forgetting i5s OC lot better than FX space heater slabs)

Zstream steps in to call him a modern day Rollo in post 20, and he slinks away without a peep.

So maybe the way to shut down Advocates is to just say, "You are Rollo". ROFLMAO

Could be Aten Ra was just frightened as well GStan. Maybe he thought I work like "Candyman" in the movies- say my name and I appear to kick ass.

I had it WAY easier than the Advocates.

The stuff NV gave me to talk about was always arguably the best stuff. I didn't have to lie about it being good, find little niches it was good, or argue from a position of "Well this stuff does suck, but you should buy it anyway".

Even with Thermi it was the fastest stuff, the 3d was better, and the add on features were better.

So it was pretty easy to post, "This stuff is really great" when it was usually the best you could buy.

Advocates are like Kia salesmen on the Lexus forum.

Note: This is also why I never felt like I was "shilling", I was just giving my real opinions of the stuff.
