Hmmm. So if you're running multiple monitors it uses AMD level power? Non issue in USA where power is dirt cheap.

TechReport was founded by Scott Wasson, now a current AMD employee. My guess the "reader who tipped them off" is either Scott or an Advocate.
For the sake of argument, let's talk about this like it matters.
50W more? OK, so for every 24/7 day (assuming you run your PC 24/7, I do not) that would be 1.2 KWh per day.

Wow, 12 cents per KWh, so that works out to 14 cents a day, 98 cents a week, 52 dollars a year.
Personally it's my opinion that if you actually have to keep track of 98 cents a week, it time to call it quits.
I bet HOMELESS PEOPLE are pretty loose with 98 cents a week, but here is the Tech Report, trying to tell us it's a big deal.
