We just got this Yeston Press release from China, an hour and a half ahead of the NDA. It was unsolicited as we have never heard from them before. This is their PR quoted as we received it:
After adjusting its strategy, AMD has today announced the Radeon HD 7970 as people expected. Yeston, the well-known manufacturer of graphics cards and motherboards from Mainland China, has also launched their Yeston R7970-3072GD5 Deluxe worldwide which is priced at US$679.
Based on 28nm process technology, Yeston R7970-3072GD5 Deluxe adopts reference PCB design, features 2048 stream processors, 3GB GDDR5 memory, and core/memory clock of 925/5500MHz respectively. By using the brand-new GCN architecture, it offers even better performance. With support for PCI-Express 3.0, DirectX 11.1 and dual-BIOS technologies, the card employs the exclusive Liquid Chamber Cooling Technology, and uses an effective turbo type cooler to ensure best cooling performance. The manufacturer has also added the air outlet area by cutting down a DVI interface.
We will know all the details shortly. NDA expires on the HD 7970 at midnight Eastern Time.
