What makes a video card stand out among other similiar priced cards from other manufacturers are the features that make the card stand out. And cooling is one big part of that. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msi.com.tw\/\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.msi.com.tw\/', 'MSI']);\" target=\"_blank\">MSI<\/a> ( Micro Star International ) has done just that with their latest custom desgined HD4870 cards. They have managed to put a 90mm fan on their latest creation.<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"spacer_\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/alienbabeltech.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/090203_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3042\" title=\"090203_3\" src=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/alienbabeltech.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/090203_3.jpg?resize=300%2C244\" alt=\"090203_3\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><br class=\"spacer_\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The cards will have the model numbers\u00a0 R4870-MD1G for the 1GB version and R4870-MD512 for the 512MB version. Both equipped with\u00a0a large 9cm fan.\u00a0 The two cards also equip a copper base,\u00a0large heatsink area and dual heatpipes design. For better stability, the cards come with\u00a0the Solid State Choke.<\/p>\n<p>MSI claims that other cards employ a 80mm fan can push 35CFM of air at 3500-3800 RPM, while their cards which employ 90mm fan will push air upto 56CFM at 2800 RPM . This will help the card to run cooler and be less audible.
