War Z had been suspended because of its close resemblance to the movie, World War Z, that is due to release on June 21st.\u00a0 This was just one of the many controversies Hammerpoint had been faced with since the game&#8217;s beta release in October.<\/p>\n<p>Today Hammerpoint Interactive announced that the name change was due to &#8220;a result of some confusion and trademark issues with a similarly titled property.&#8221; Infestation: Survivor Stories currently has &#8220;nearly 1 million players and hopefully this name change will eliminate any confusion for new players.&#8221; Hammerpoint went on to explain that the name change will not affect &#8216;you as players&#8217; but rather change the look of the logo and website.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully this name change will be a new start for Hammerpoint Interactive and Infestation: Survival Stories.<\/p>\n<p>How do you feel about the name change?
