Many began to think that this was going to be the budget iPhone, and something that Apple was using to compete with Android. Die hard Apple fans began worrying and hoping that this was just a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kAGtk2x4BSQ\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kAGtk2x4BSQ', 'joke']);\" >joke<\/a> or a way for Apple to screw with people.<\/p>\n<p>Last Tuesday, when the iPhone was officially announced, many people still believed it to be a budget iPhone. Then it was discovered that the no-contract price was $549 for a 16GB iPhone 5C. This came to a shock for many people, leaving the question, what does the \u201cC\u201d stand for?<\/p>\n<p>Apple has never disclosed what the \u201cS\u201d or \u201cC\u201d officially means. However, it&#8217;s safe to say it doesn&#8217;t stand for cheap.\u00a0 Evidently, the iPhone 5C is a way to get people to buy older hardware. In the past, the majority of people bought the newest model of the iPhone.\u00a0 Now, Apple is hoping with the redesign of the iPhone 5, to market to people wanting more color in their lives than the latest tech.<\/p>\n<p>The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S release this Friday, September 20th, and iOS 7 releases to existing devices tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18th.
