His nVidia cards aren't cheap to replace. I've never heard of "Think Computers" until this. I also wonder how many reports of "driver bricking" come from AMD shills. When I was a mod on the GeForce forums they mentioned some asshole posted a report of the "bad batch" of whatever the popular GeForce was at thee time. Said he got this info from EVGA support, others chimed in with same "problem" and said they heard it from BFG support. I resolved IPs and found the "others" were all the same guy. So I called EVGA and BFG, who talked to me because I was connected to NVIDIA and they said there was no "bad batch". Then I talked to mods on other sites and lo and behold the "guys" posting of the "bad batch" were the same guy. So, I don't really believe what I read on stuff like this until the dust settles on the lawsuit. |
