I don't see how this is a deal or news. 4k is going to become the new 1080p. Just give it a couple of years. 1440p was just a stepping stone. Everyone is going to want 4k soon. RE: Acer Announces 25" 1440p Monitor For $370 - SteelCrysis - 03-18-2015 Oh yeah, I forgot just how cheap 4K is right now. RE: Acer Announces 25" 1440p Monitor For $370 - SickBeast - 03-18-2015 What really annoys me is the fact that we still don't see widespread adoption of HDMI 2.0. Is it even a standard yet? It's only on a handful of TVs and almost all of the 4k monitors are using DisplayPort. For content 30fps and lower I suppose the current technology is fine but I really don't understand what is taking so long with HDMI 2.0. We have had similar technology for a long time already. It's not rocket science. At this point they could probably just use the new USB port that just came out. |
