This list may look very NVIDIA heavy, and part of it is that we simply sell more NVIDIA cards than AMD cards so there are more NVIDIA models that we have sold enough of to be confident in our data. On the other hand, NVIDIA GeForce cards on a whole have proven to be much more reliable than AMD Radeon cards in recent years. In fact, in 2014 NVIDIA GeForce cards only had an overall failure rate of 2.34% (down from 3.3% last year) versus AMD Radeon cards which had an overall failure rate of 17.9% (up from 10% last year).

Remember when Origins decided to stop using AMD GPUs and the fit that was thrown all over the internet.  People were claiming that Nvidia paid Origin to stop using AMD GPUs and that the claim that AMD GPUs have a higher failure rate was just made up.  

I think there was data back then suggesting AMD gpus had over 150% the failure rate as nvidia GPUs.......

man, read that article.  AMD fans can really stir up some crap.  But look near the bottom.  We have Puget.
And in 2013, there was an increase in AMD failure rate, from about 1.5x nvidias to about 2x.  And from then on things got tremendously worse.  For Puget, AMD GPUs have almost 8 times the failure rate of Nvidia GPUs.  (7.65x)

that is shocking.  totally and completely shocking.

But the crazy thing is, we seen videos of gtx570s blowing up and the claim that nvidia kills cards with their drivers. We see real effort against nvidia GPUs and real news like this, like puget data showing AMD GPUs having 8x the failure rate.............this is the first time i have ever seen it.  

And this is something i would think would be important to know, especially with how much AMD GPU promoting goes on on these forums.  It is completely shocking.  No wonder nvidia started taking market share in chucks even before Maxwell.  This probably plays a huge factor in the real world, where most of these forum campers dont spend any time
