I agree, and lay most of the current problems in our country at the feet of trade agreements, reductions in import tariffs, and outsourcing.

People without hope turn to booze, dope, crime, etc and "I'm going to reinvent myself as a programmer/engineer/health care professional is hard for anyone and likely impossible for a lot.

Not you though Dave, and I'd note my dad has a friend that went to law school and passed the bar exam in two states, and built a practice, all after fifty.
