not so much if intel can have a 2x node advantage. Just being one node ahead gets them close. But if they can maintain 2 nodes ahead........
then there isnt much of an advantage for arm chips.
Its not the architecture that counts, it is the actual chip. Look at fermi. The gtx480 looked bad in so many ways but the gtx580 looked almost completely impressive. This is on the exact same node, almost the exact same architecture....the only active difference was the choice in transistors.
There are so many variables in play that we dont even think of but ultimately it is the chip that matters in the end.
