U.S. Middle Class nearly gone

You can't survive on $70K where I live with 3 kids.  Not even close.  Plus there are always unexpected expenses that crop up, particularly when you own your own home.

By the time we pay for food and everything else we have very little money left over (if any).

debi and I survive solely on my check to check on half of that. More than half goes to rent.

It's impossible to live on that, I read it on teh intarwebz.

I'm sure the people who live on $100K cant imagine anyone living on $50K, the people who live on $200K can't imagine living on $100K, etc.

Just human nature.
