No where I live you could buy this 13 year old 4000' sq foot house on 17 acres for $510,000, and be within 20 minutes of the State capitol.

But I guess it's worth it to get raped for house and tvs to live in a "progressive" place.
I live in an 1800' house in a nice neighborhood, professional working people and retirees for most part, and my house is worth $220K.
What's nice about that is if either my wife or I ever lose our jobs, we don't go into crisis mode.(because either of us can afford the house/bills)
