We have one of the highest standards of living on the planet, and people aren't going to walk into the governments superior weaponry arms locked because the wonderful people on tv live in nicer houses and have more free time.

I've told you about a million times: You seem pretty smart. Borrow some loot, study something at a tech school if university is out of reach. Get your wife working part time, or better yet full time.
If she has time constraints in the day from family, she can work nights while you take on those duties. I know people who work opposite shifts like this. It's not ideal, but it beats marching into machine gun fire?
It's all in your control. I went back to college twice when I wasn't making enough jing. Pretty much everyone I know that lives in a household making $100K and up started out middle class or poor.
The system works if you play by the rules.
