I'm leaning toward a 4gb R480 but I still haven't completely decided. I am waiting for reviews. If there is a benefit to having 8gb for 1080p gaming then I will consider the 8gb card or else a GTX 1070.

I'm saying the reviews I read of that particular 980 Ti said it's design makes it boost to, and stay at 1390-1405 out of the box. (and that 1500 is definitely in reach due to dual 8 pin, 14/3 power phases, back plate, better HSF)
That makes this card out of the box a better card than a 1070 out of the box.
It splits the difference between a reference 980 Ti and a 1080 Funder Edition in performance, and makes the reference cards a waste of money for those of us who don't OC graphics cards.
