You have a stick and a considerable sling just like the rest of us do - Rollo isn't gonna do anything to yours.  If Rollo pinches yours to the point where they're aching, you can just kick him back in the nuts and then back off for a bit and then come back again.

BTW, Rollo - I think it would actually help BTR if Poppin "Popped" in here casually - it doesn't have to be obligatory.  In this increasingly linked social world, burning bridges usually do more harm than good.  There are still some on-lookers from ATF who like to check out ABT every once in a while, but they don't really know about BTR. 

Let's just all forgive and have fun!!  I think that if Poppin can learn how to handle Rollo's jabs like gstanford can (and enjoy), both Rollo and Poppin would be just as good friends as ever!!!

I haven't been on that site for a long time now. I would post something not even remotely against the rules but still mods were sent to me. I started a mod discussion thread and showed them clearly there was bias and heavy handed actions against me for really nothing. I mean, just posting pure facts, like a chart, they would remove it.

I laid out my case with 10 examples and asked for another mod just to look over this and explain it....
There was no response.


So then I told them that they are and will run off anyone but AMD fans and then all the shilling will be done for nothing, because only AMD fans and shills will be reading it.

I was told that it didn't matter if I broke rules or not, they said they had to do something because of the complaint....because other members were reporting it, they had to act. Even though they couldn't tell me what was wrong with it.
It got so bad that a mod would remove my post or parts of them. Called it "clean up".
If I reposted info, even though it was 100% following guidelines and totally related and relevant to the thread, then I would get in trouble.

The site is rigged and used to deliver and spin what ever message they want to spin. That's what there there for and the mod makes sure that the goal is accomplished

I was banned from many sites, not for breaking the rules, but because the AMD shills followed me around complaining about me. (or in some cases, AMD/ATi themselves commanded it)

Dumbasses like Apoppin are fond of saying, "Wah. Rollo has banned everywhere! Wah!" but the fact of the matter was it wasn't for violation of TOS, it was for my association with NVIDIA.

If Apoppin didn't do his marketing under the guise of being a "web reviewer" he would be banned all over as well if he tried to post on NVIDIA's behalf.

Ok man, I dare you to go over to HardOCP and tell Kyle that he has no education. See how far that gets you. I can guarantee you that he will show you the door within about 5 minutes. And that goes for pretty much any forum out there. It's just the way it goes.

As far as apoppin is concerned, he is the nicest person you will ever meet. I would say he's more patient than Kyle and he's generally great to deal with.

I can see why he doesn't want any flak or nonsense. I mean with Rollo in particular the insults and degrading posts are pretty much non stop. apoppin has chosen to focus on the technology with his new forum and he wants no part of the shenanigans that were happening at ABT.

You also seem like you're having a hard time letting go of everything that happened. I think what happened between you and him was completely avoidable and it escalated for no legitimate reason. IIRC it was simply a difference of opinion about a Sandy Bridge hexacore CPU. I think you both could have done better to diffuse the situation. IMO.

Kyle is a good guy. I like him a lot, but he was one who told me he had to ban me because the AMD shills were flooding them with reported threads, even though I hadn't broken the rules.

He even came out on the forum and said I wasn't a NV marketer and people need to just deal with me being there.

I truly hope Kyle gets the multimillion buyout like Anand and Tom, he totally deserves it.

Look at the difference in his site and BTR. Apoppin thinks he is in the class of guys like Kyle and Brent, but he's not even close.

And that stiff he has posting little life lesson stories...


Kyle built something that is worth something and probably provides him with a good living as is. Apoppin is just a guy running benchmarks and parroting press kits like I used to do.
