Intel Pentium Dual Core E3200
The Intel Pentium Dual Core E3200 has been sighted on the Intel processor finder. This is usually a valid sign of things to come.
Understandably, there is no concrete information yet about release dates and pricing. Seeing as though the E5*** Series came to replace the E2*** Series, we can safely assume that the E3*** Series of CPUs, which are 45nm, will come in to replace the dual core Celerons (E1***) that have been out for some time now.
The E3200 will feature 1MB of L2 Cache, an 800MHz bus speed, a TDP of 65W and is slated to ship with an R0 Core Stepping.
There seems to be a bit of discrepancy however, regarding the clock speed and/or multiplier of this processor. A bus/core ratio (multiplier) of 12 would seem to suggest that this CPU would have a stock frequency of 2.4GHz. However, the site lists it at 2.6GHz. Either the multiplier is actually 13 for 2.6GHz or the frequency is 2.4GHz with the 12 multiplier.
Time will tell, either with a quick product launch or updated specifications from Intel. You can be sure that we will keep you posted so stay tuned.
