Apple iPhone Trade-in Program Launches in U.S Retail Stores
The rumored iPhone Trade-In Program is launching across U.S retail stores. Apple is officially calling it the “reuse and recycling” program.
Under the program, users will receive a gift card in exchange for their old devices, and it must be used immediately to purchase a new iPhone. Trade-in credit will range from $120 to $250 and will be applied for functioning iPhone 4 and 4S models. The new iPhone you purchase must be an on-contract device.
The trade-in value assigned for your phone will be based on model, capacity, and condition. Apple is expected to introduce two new iPhone models within the next month; an upgrade, iPhone 5S and a new iPhone 5C.
Of course, you could always sell your iPhone privately, perhaps through a third-party like eBay as these devices tend to fetch a higher price than what most retail stores will offer you. The program will perhaps be good for those looking for quick credit to upgrade to the latest model.
