ASUS Crosshair III Formula motherboard spotted
AMD’s dragon platform seems to be going from strength to strength. It now gets Republic of Gamers (ROG) branding with ASUS Crosshair III Formula motherboard. Republic of Gamers (ROG) is traditionally reserved for the highest end motherboard aimed at overclocking enthusiasts featuring premium features and highest quality components.
The Crosshair III Formula motherboard features AMD 790FX chipset coupled with SB750 southbridge. The AM3 CPU socket is powered by a 8+2 phase power circuitry. The board features three PCIe X1 slots and two PCIe X16 slots. It supports ATI’s CrossFire technology. The board is expected to be shown at Computex 2009 and retail at $271.
