Axle’s GeForce GT 430
We would like to introduce Axle’s GT 430 which is Nvidia’s new media class of video card. It is their entry level GT 430 video card that was recently released to directly compete with AMD’s HD 5500 series. Nvidia has finally released its long awaited GeForce GT based on its new Fermi DX11 GF108 architecture which we covered in our GT 430 introduction and review here.
Axle is big in Asia and have recently started expanding their business into North America. They are a certified Nvidia and AMD Graphics partner who has also introduced their own version of a GT 430 based on the reference version with a different fan design.
Their press release describes the GT 430 pretty well:
Here are the Axle GT 430 specifications and features:
The Axle GTS 450 comes with the driver CD, the installation guide and the installation manual.
We are going to continue our evaluation of Axle GT 430, focusing especially on comparisons to integrated graphics and its use as a HTPC video card in a future article. So far we like it as the GTS 430 is the successor to GT 230. It is a very full-featured entry-level video card that is especially suited for HTPC and light to medium DX11 gaming at the most popular resolutions including 1280×1024 and 1400×900.
